CeBIT is one of the world’s largest technology expos. In 2017, Japan was selected as a partner country for the first time and set up large Pavilions. Japan performed the opening ceremony performance prior to the main event. The Opening movie symbolically portrayed a vision of a future where humanity and technology co-exists in the form of an encounter between a lone man and an imaginary interface. In the live performance, the physical expression of the performers was combined with productions created with assorted techniques and devices. The show visualized an intimate symbiosis between technology and humans.
