I have seen a lot of incredible car photography posts and also with CGI we don’t even know if what we see is the real car or a 3D version of it. Despite all of the styles I’ve seen it’s hard to describe the work that Sarel van Staden has done and shared on his Behance profile and website. His passion is to create images by using artificial light sources. “This gives me the freedom to shoot anywhere, anytime while creating works of art” – he mentions on his profile. The definition of works of art could not fit better his work. The simplicity and focus on details highlight forms and parts of the cars that otherwise would get lost. I especially like the Ford GT and McLaren ones but of course all of them are incredible.

About Sarel van Staden

Sarel van Staden started photography 18 years ago as a hobby while working as a town planner. 

He joined a photography club in 1995 and started attracting attention with his way of creating award winning images with very basic photography equipment and for his use of interesting light set-ups.  Invitations to address photography clubs all over the country followed.

Sarel won National and International awards (3 gold, 4 silver and bronze medals in Austrian Super Circuit) and was published in the Photography yearbook for four consecutive years.
