From May 7-11, CB2 will bridge the real world with the social media realm by creating the first-ever apartment designed in real-time and entirely on Pinterest. CB2 has tapped five talented interior designers/active Pinterest users to each design the interiors of a room within the apartment, located in Soho in NYC. Each designer will have one day to engage their Pinterest following, who will help select the items that will then be incorporated into the apartment in real-time – all available for viewing on a dedicated microsite. The final apartment will feature an eclectic mix of CB2 product and vintage/one-of-a-kind offerings, with each room capturing the aesthetic of the individual designers. The program highlights the aspirational nature of Pinterest, but brings it to life, making the beautiful designs seen on the social channel attainable for users.
